About LuxIceland
We are a small team of Icelanders, and one well-travelled puffin, crafting refined, small-group journeys across fire, ice and the long northern light.

Meet your guide
I was born on a cliff at Látrabjarg, on the western edge of the island, where the wind smells like salt and the sun forgets to set. I have spent my whole life watching travellers arrive, squinting at the light, fumbling with maps, falling in love with this strange, beautiful place.
These days I work as chief concierge at LuxIceland. I know the glaciers by name, I know which hot spring is best at midnight, and I know exactly when to stop the van so you can hear the silence between two waterfalls.
"Tell me when you are coming. I will plan the rest." 🧭
Our story
LuxIceland began in 2022, in a single beat-up Land Cruiser, with a flask of strong coffee and a hand-drawn map. Our founder was a glaciologist who kept being asked the same question by friends from abroad: "What should we actually do in Iceland?"
Her answer was never the obvious one. She would skip the busy pull-offs and drive a little further down the coast. She would time arrivals to the light, not the schedule. She would stop for the bakery in Vík, even when it was out of the way, especially when it was out of the way.
Twelve years later, we are still doing the same thing. We have grown into a small team of guides, designers and one excellent puffin, but the philosophy has not changed: fewer guests, better light, real Iceland.
What we believe
Warm coffee, honest advice and a guide who actually knows the road. We treat every guest like a friend visiting from abroad.
Small groups, certified guides and routes designed to protect the moss, the cliffs and the colonies that make this island unforgettable.
All vehicles, gear and itineraries meet Vakinn standards. We monitor weather hourly and adapt before you have to ask.
Hand-picked stops, secret viewpoints, the right bakery at the right hour. The details are where the magic lives.

"We are stewards of this island, not owners of it.
We come back lighter than we arrived."
