How do I receive my booking confirmation?
Your confirmation is sent by email within seconds of payment. It includes your booking reference, the meeting point or pickup details, the start time, and a direct link to manage or cancel your booking. If you don't see it, check your spam folder or contact us with the email you used at checkout.
Do tours include hotel pickup?
Most day tours from Reykjavík include free pickup from designated bus stops near central hotels and apartments. The pickup window starts 30 minutes before departure, so please be ready and visible. The exact pickup point and instructions are listed on each tour page and in your confirmation email.
What should I bring?
Warm, waterproof outerwear, sturdy shoes, gloves, a hat, and a fully charged phone or camera. For lagoon tours, bring a swimsuit and a towel (towels are included on premium tours). For glacier and ice cave tours, dress in warm layers; helmets, crampons and harnesses are provided.
Are children allowed?
Most tours welcome children, but minimum ages vary by activity. Glacier hikes, ice caves and snowmobiling typically require children to be 8 years or older, while Northern Lights, Golden Circle and lagoon tours are family friendly from any age. Each tour page lists the exact age requirements and child pricing.
Can I pay in USD or EUR?
Yes. You can pay in ISK, USD, EUR or GBP at checkout. Your card is charged in the currency you choose, so there are no surprise conversion fees from your bank. We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
What happens in bad weather?
Iceland's weather is famously unpredictable. If conditions make a tour unsafe, the operator will cancel and you'll get a full refund or the option to rebook for free, no questions asked. Tours that can run safely will go ahead, so always pack for cold, wind and rain.
Do you offer private tours?
Absolutely. Almost every tour can be booked privately for your group, with a dedicated guide and vehicle. We also build fully custom multi-day itineraries. Email lux@luxiceland.is with your dates, group size and interests, and we'll send a tailored quote within 24 hours.
