About this experience
Landmannalaugar is an extraordinary beautiful oasis in the highlands, featuring colorful mountains and geothermal activity. First the tour goes to Þjórsárdalur with a stop at Hjálparfoss waterfall and from there through beautiful landscape to Landmannalaugar. After a Laugarhraun lava field hike, delicious hot spring bathing offers a uniquely pleasurable experience. On the way back to Reykjavik we drive along Mt. Hekla, an active volcano that erupted last in the year of 2000.
