About this experience
In Reykjanes peninsula the mid Atlantic ridge rises from the ocean. More than half of the peninsula is covered with lava flows, some of which are only a few years or months old. We start by visiting boiling mud pools and hot springs. Then we drive through the village of Grindavik for the lighthouse on the westernmost tip of the peninsula with rich bird life in the summer. Then we head to the so called bridge between the continents. Then we will find a good place to view the total eclipse.
